A murder case has many layers: the victim, the crime, and the investigation. To truly understand it, you need to dissect each piece of a tragic puzzle. Starting October 14th, Join Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi and Scott Weinberger every Wednesday for an insider’s perspective, as they reveal to you the Anatomy of Murder.
The address of your emergency. I've been shot in the leg. Where you at? Think that when people think about murder cases, it's like the car accident you can't turn away from, and they automatically think, Oh my gosh, how horrible. And if it happened to them, could it happen to me? There's blood all over and there's a male intruder there in the house, but they also want to know the why. That's what drives the appetite to learn what really happens inside the investigation. How did they do that? Ohh, why did they do that? And we through our backgrounds we can hopefully give insight to that. I'm Scott weinberger. Spent the last 25 years as an investigative journalist, and before that I was a sheriff's deputy. And nicolazzi, I'm a former New York City homicide prosecutor, and now I'm also host of investigation, discoveries, true conviction. And now we have a podcast, the anatomy of murder. Use that term is we're actually breaking down all the critical decisions that are made within these cases in a way that hopefully is different than you've heard of before. You're going to hear from the actual people involved. Hi, my name is Heidi Jones AC. My mom was killed when I was four. The victim's family member or the ones that actually work these cases. It's that one case that you don't forget it. We do it. Tremendous amount of research going into every single podcast. We've got access to police reports, autopsy reports, 911 calls, footage from a suspect questioning a complete picture of a murder story. Turning to this podcast, you'll not only get a better understanding about this world, but even more important to me as I hope that you feel the emotion. You know, I feel like my story is so worth sharing because we didn't have DNA, we didn't have a whole lot. We had a determined detective and a really pushy little girl that wanted her mother's murder salt. So if there's anybody out there, if they can't hear my story, I believe that you've got to have hope. Because that's what this is all about, people. It is the heart of all these cases. Anatomy of Murder is a new weekly show that you can hear every Wednesday beginning on October 14th. Be sure to subscribe or follow anatomy of murder on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
